When is the earliest I can wash my dog?
I just got a really cute pit bull excpet, she has worms, i’m taking her to the vet today to take care of that, the dog is about 4 1/2 5 weeks old and I figured if I gave the dog a bath with "puppy shampoo" and keep her indoors that would help her hygeine along with the worming medicine to help out the medicine. Or is it too soon to give her a bath. I heard giving a puppy a bath too soon could cause parvo. Any advice for me?
I know it’s early but the mother passed and it was either I take care of her or no one would. I am feeding her purina pro plan puppy food large breed forumula. It seems to me she would like some kind of mother’s milk synthetic (sp) is something like this available?
Why was she taken from her mother so early? The vet will tell you about bathing her… YOu are her mother now Take EXCEPTIONAL care of her and she will take EXCEPTIONAL care of you for MANY years!
They make puppy "formula" if you will, check you vet or local pet store. I know it’s too early for flea shampoo, but check with your vet about the puppy shampoo(take along the puppy shampoo to show him).
You can bathe her but not more that once every 6 weeks. Also Puppy food is better for her.
DO NOT BATHE THAT PUP!!!
Worming has NOTHING to do w/the "outside" of ANY dog.
Do NOT bathe more than a couple times a year.
