You asked for a pill & the only I an recommend is Sentinel which is for heartworms & fleas. There are several great brands of pills for treating heartworms monthly but limited for also treating fleas by pill. It also depends on where you live. In the South Frontline has not worked well for the past 3 years & I would suggest Advantage or Advantix which helps with mosquitoes also out of the spot-on treatments.
