what is the best flea/worm medicine for a mini schnauzer?

I have a ten month old miniature schnauzer. currently she doesn’t go out very much, a very inside dog. our vet said we really need to put her on flea/worm medicine. for the flea medicine, we would much rather have an oral/pill flea medicine, because I don’t like the idea of putting a pesticide on her back. I don’t know the advantages between Frontline, advantage, etc. any help? I"m getting a little lost/confused with my various google searching.

The ones you mentioned & the others that ppl posted are spot-ons treatments. You asked for a pill & the only I an recommend is Sentinel which is for heartworms & fleas. There are several great brands of pills for treating heartworms monthly but limited for also treating fleas by pill.
It also depends on where you live. In the South Frontline has not worked well for the past 3 years & I would suggest Advantage or Advantix which helps with mosquitoes also out of the spot-on treatments. This link will show you the differences in the ingredients of different flea med.

Do Not use otc like Hartz brands they have a horrid track record of causing cats & dogs to become serious ill or die after being treated. Heartworm meds are extremely important & dogs die from them daily or require extensive & expensive treatment.
Frontline is the best in my opinion
Frontline plus has worked the best for all my animals. I have 2 dogs and 1 cat. they all do very well with frontline plus.
I would personally recomend K9 Advantage Multi.
It protects against Heartworms, Fleas,Roundworms, Hookworms, and Whipworms.
It’s also very safe.
