I asked a lady at petsmart what kind of worms my cat probably has, she said round worm. I bough dewormer (and gave it to him) earlier this week. only for it not to work.
I took a LIVE WORM eew right, to a different vet (the old vet didnt want to tell us anything because they wanted like 100 some bucks out of us) anyway so this other place is really quiet and small and is really nice, anyway and they took a look at it, its a tapeworm!! sick huh?
anyways so I bought some dewormer from fleetfarm (much cheaper!!)
**but now I need to know, how long should I wait to take the tapeworm dewormer med.??

I have a 7 month old dachshund. She has what we refer to as "butt-worms." She has been scooting her butt across the floor and her poop is very inconsistent. I also saw a part of the worm on her backside after she pooped. I know this sounds gross.
Anyway, when my cat was a kitten (someone abandoned her at work, so I took her in), I took her to the vet for a rabies shot and the vet went crazy doing stuff on her. One of the things he gave her was a combination flea, tick, and worm medication. At least this is what I remember. He said he liked it cause it helped with ALL those things.
Anyway, is there a dog version of this? It’s possible that I may have to just do frontline and a wormer. I have heard there is something better than frontline. What do you guys use? Also, what about worms?

Well when I was a little girl I used to hear my parents say all the time that beer would kill worms, and then he would give beer to my dog?!
Is this true?
Yeah I didn’t think it was true, but you know when you hear things as a child, you want to believe it! Then as I got older no one ever told me different! So that’s why I asked! Thanks everyone!
To Hey…I don’t think that was very nice….
All of you gave me very good answers thank you! I love my pets too much to give them beer, I just needed to know.

He is 6 weeks old and his stomach is bloating and he eats like he is starving. I cannot afford a vet right now and the puppy was given to my daughter and I just fell in love with him. Now I could not find worm medicine over the counter for dogs, but found them for cats and kittens. Same worms, but different names(toxocara cati for cats) toxocara canis for dogs. Can I give my puppy this cat/kitten worm medicine?
