I have an english bulldog.. and i found a white small, short worm in his poop. I have only found one. That feces had been outside all night… I didn’t pick it up until this afternoon, when I found the one worm. He is on a monthly medicine to prevent heartworm, and it said to also help prevent other types of worms. He isn’t showing any signs.. no vomiting, dirrahea, hes a bulldog so hes always lazy, and he’s eating normally. I’m just worried about that one worm.. Could it have just been a worm that crawled into his poop because it had been out there all night? I am going to check when he goes tonight. Is it worth taking him to the vet just to be safe.. even though he is on preventative meds?? Just let me know what you would do if you were in my case.
Thanks
I just don’t want him to be suffering… but I don’t want to be over reacting..
Thanks!

I have 6 week old pups who have tapeworms (yuck) and well when I 1st got them they were 1 week old and their mom had died. I notice that they both( belle-girl Tobi-boy) had flees up the ying yang but didnt think too much of it and just groomed them clean. Up until 1 week ago I notice these rice looking things in their stool. so I bought some meds @ petco for hookworms and tapeworms. Now I dont know if the meds r working cuz my pups are still getting rice looking things in there stool. But just not as much rice looking things on Belle and Tobi pooped out a really long one. IDK if one of them not showing signs of tapeworms and the other one pooping out longer ones are sings that the meds are working plz help!!!

Ok, my dog had an accident in the house and when I picked it up I found flat white worm, about 1/2 an inch long. It was alive and it moved like an inch worm. It was in my labs poo. I have 4 other dogs, 2 cats, and a toddler. I’m concerned about what this worm could be and whether all the animals and possibly my daughter could have it… I think it’s either a tape or round worm… Should I take all my animals to the vet, or should I try a de-wormer at home. None of the animals show signs of distress, weight loss/gain, fatigue, or lethargy.
