I have 3 cats all about 10lbs and a bottle of 3 23mil praziquantel tabs. I know 1 cat has tapeworms because she is a under weight and ive seen them hanging off her rear end. The other two seem fine but i know TWs are hard to detect. They seem to act normal and frisky but i’d rather be safe than sorry. I’ve heard mixed reviews on how to administer the dosage so i need some advice bcuz there’s nothing on the bottle on how to use all 3 pills. It’s 1 pill for a 10lb cat.

Should i give 1 pill to all 3 cats or give all 3 to the one cat that i know has them, 1 pill every 2-3 weeks or so?

I noticed my cat had worms but I had not received my shipment of Revolution yet, so I bought him Praziquantel tablets from Petco. I just received my shipment of Revolution and I was wondering if I can still administer it to him even though I gave him the tablets about a week ago?

How long does it take for the tapeworms to go away? He just went to the bathroom and I didnt really see any but I also didnt exactly look IN it or anything.. He got it from a roommates mutt and she had it but got treated a couple days ago for it.. Should I keep my dog away from that parasite dog or is it okay for them to be around each other considering they both had it and both have been treated for it?
I used Praziquantel which is a drug that the vets use. I called my vet back home and they told me that was a good one to use… That is why I went to PetCo

my cats have tapeworms. i cannot take them to the vet till this weekend. but these meds (1800petmeds) are much cheaper than the vets.

to have all my cats dewormed, it would be about 60-80 bucks. if i buy these meds, it’ll be about 20.

i had one of my cats dewormed in november, i THINK it was drontal. but they all have the same ingredient (Praziquantel)
the thing is, we treated them already for fleas, & they don’t seem to have them. i haven’t seen a flea on them & i haven’t been itching.
WHOA WAIT! so i have to get my vet to approve 1800petmeds or something? that’s total BULLSHIT!

I think my cat has worms again–he loves to hunt squirrels, mice birds, snakes and rabbits. How often can you give your cat praziquantel ( the tape worm medicine)–also do I need to give him round worm med. too? Or without knowing if he has it or not, what is the recommended dosage for felines on a yearly basis?

My cat is an outdoor/indoor cat–no chance in converting him at this point–And, I know he has worms–same syptoms as before–he’s had all his necessary shots and everything–and no–these animals are not getting in my house–I’m 99.9% sure that it’s worms–we’ve dealt with this before–just want to find out dosages from someone who knows about this stuff.
