I’ve tried researching but can’t seem to find a reliable answer. My fish is a simple goldfish, I am guessing a comet goldfish.
A few days ago, I noticed that he was swaying from side to side when he swam. He would go to eat food, but didn’t seem to get much in his mouth, rather he would swim around clumsily. Two days ago, he took a turn for the worse and has been at the bottom of the tank ever since. He is clearly still alive, as he is breathing and he flops around every once in a while. He is on his side in an upside-down U shape.
What is wrong with him? What should I give him to treat it? I bought "PraziPro" at my local pet store, hoping that it would solve the problem. The bottle says that it treats flukes, flatworms, tapeworms, and turbellarians.
Just added it to his tank now (he is isolated in a small 2gal tank). Help! Before it’s too late!
He is a very small goldfish, one of those 25 cent kind. Because of this, I am now thinking that he is not a comet, but rather something smaller. He would certainly never grow any bigger than maybe 4 inches. I know it seems stupid to worry about one of these fish, but I just hate to see him like this…

Our puppy already had tapeworms not too long ago. We took her to the vet, they did the tests, gave her meds and she was fine. I just walked her today and noticed a moving 1 inch tapeworm in her stool. How could this be? How is something that big in her if we dewormed her a month ago. Could she have gotten one that big from drinking street water? (we try to get her out of that habit but it’s harder when we’re also walking our other dog)
On another note when I was walking her back she spit up yellow foam. ??? Our vet charges around for the dewormer and for the worm test (which we can’t get out of). I was wondering if I should go to the vet hoping the meds will WORK or should I go to the local pet store and buy an over the counter dewormer today since the vet is closed today? She was on Cestix.
Btw, is it easy to get parasites, especially tapeworms from dogs? What a Merry Christmas Morning!

Supposedly they are tapeworms. I am really freaked and panicking. I have three cats and a dog. So far only one cat shows signs of the worms. But I dont know what to do, should I treat all my animals? What do I use to treat them?Could this be fatal to my animals? If the little segments of the worm i’m finding contain eggs, can they hatch and spread worms around my house? Also I cannot afford to bring all of my animals to the vet right now so is there anything i can buy at a pet store to deworm them (i’m in canada)?I’m really freaking out and worried and advice wouuld be greatly appriciated THANX

I know this is obviously something we want to get taken care of we just hadn’t had the extra money to take her to the vet the past couple weeks. I am just wondering how long before my dog actually starts loosing weight and getting really sick? She has had them for a month tops, well that I know of anyway. She still looks healthy to me and she is still gaining weight and dosen’t eat like a pig or anything. I just need to know how much more time I’ve got before I HAVE to get her in, or if there is something I can buy at the pet store, to take care of it? I just really won’t have the money for the next couple of weeks to get her to the vet. But if I HAVE to I will find a way! Any insight? Thanks in Advance!
She hasn’t lost any weight I just thought I read somewhere that they loose weight with tapeworm because they are eating all the dogs nutrition? And she has pooped them out, well segments, but wouldn’t there still be more in there? How would we know they are gone? Medications would be the only way?

I just bought two 12 week old kittens from a local pet store and they seemed fine. About 4 days later one kitten was gasping for air and they both became sluggish and wouldn’t move. I called the emergency vet and he said to bring them in the next morning right away. I brought them both to the vet the next morning and the vet checked them over. Both kittens have ear mites really bad, round worm, tape worm, upper respiratory infection, and very high fevers. The vet also told me that the one kitten that is gasping for air has a very bad PDA heart murmur. She told me that the kitten only has two weeks to live and that I should just bring him back. I got my money back but thats not the problem. I am attached to the cats and I wonder if there is anyway that he will live. Ever since I have been giving them their medicine they both seem to be just fine. Is there any hope for my little guy?
