how long should you wait between deworming?

I asked a lady at petsmart what kind of worms my cat probably has, she said round worm. I bough dewormer (and gave it to him) earlier this week. only for it not to work.
I took a LIVE WORM eew right, to a different vet (the old vet didnt want to tell us anything because they wanted like 100 some bucks out of us) anyway so this other place is really quiet and small and is really nice, anyway and they took a look at it, its a tapeworm!! sick huh?

anyways so I bought some dewormer from fleetfarm (much cheaper!!)

**but now I need to know, how long should I wait to take the tapeworm dewormer med.??

having issues with a wormy puppy please help?

My 10th month old chihuahua has had issues getting rid of tape worms.

Mini History: She doesn’t have fleas and never has, she came to us with worms. She’s been on frontline since she was 6 months old. The first dose of medication she threw up (veterinarian told us she probably absorbed most of it), the second dose she took two weeks later she also threw up. Fast forward two weeks, I found more worms in her stool. Brought her back to the vet they gave her a shot of anti-nasseau medicine and then we gave her the medication once again. She didn’t throw it up this time.

Thought we were worm free, two weeks since the shot and medication Im still finding worms!

We have an appointment on thursday at the vet and they want to give her the medication intravenously but they said that it will really hurt her (they said it burns and they dont even keep it in stock because they never use it). WHAT SHOULD I DO? I dont want her to be in pain! Should I ask for the anti nausea shot again with the oral pill and do it for two doses verses this painful shot.
she has never had fleas, my house is flea free my other dogs are flea free. The frontline i have been applying to her topically. The medication I was talking about was a de wormer Im pretty sure it was Drontal.

She spends 95% of her day indoors, she has never eaten another animal or raw meat.

The vet wants to use the injectable form since the oral dewormer hasnt been working. Im just desperate for anything else because the injectable is supposed to be VERY painful.

Or is it just digested and you wont be able to see it in the litter box at all? I gave the dewormer to my kitty three days ago and there is nothing in the litter box but small turds, even though she has been going a lot. Is this normal? How do I know when the worm is out? (Im talking about a tape worm)
