Unless you are seeing some serious problems from the dog regarding worms, I would wait until she is not pregnant. All medicine that you give her could hurt developing puppies.
It is completely normal.
Give her some wormer from the vet. Make sure that you carefully follow the directions so that you get rid of them.
Edit: Even if they don’t have worms before they are pregnant, female dogs pass worms to their pups when they are nursing. You will have to worm the pups. You can buy that wormer at Walmart for an inexpensive price. My vet said it was the same as stuff I could get there. This may not be true while she is pregnant, however.
Don’t fret too much. It is normal and it happens all of the time. If you treat it next week, it will be okay. Wormer is fairly inexpensive and if you have a regular vet you probably won’t even need an office visit.
There is nothing that you can do to avoid it except to make sure that you give them their vaccinations and worm them and then for adult dogs, use heartguard to prevent heartworms and frontline to prevent fleas.
You don’t worm during pregnancy. This should have been done prior to breeding. Unless your vet tells you otherwise, wait until the first worming of the pups and worm her also
Consult your vet. The medicine may do damage to the developing puppies. Also, NEVER buy worming medicine from walmart or any store that is not pet focused. A lot of the cheap medicines you will find at places like that (Target included) cause more harm than anything.
Most puppies have worms and need to be wormed- and that should be done by the vet.
