My miniature poodle has blood in his stool, a fairly considerable amount today. We found out that he had a tapeworm but they gave him a shot for that, as well as two pills (that was just discovered within the last week). Could the tapeworm still be affecting his stool and making it bloody? He has had diaherra lately. He also has diabetes and gets insulin everyday. We’re trying to hard to get him more fiber in his diet and natural canned food. We’re also giving him pedialyte to help keep him hydrated. Could he have any other problems? What do you suggest I do to keep him hydrated and healthy? Is the blood in his stool a serious problem? I can take him to the vet tomorrow I just want to here some answers.
