rescued it from the pound. The people who were "fostering" it for us called us Sunday and said they had to take it to the vet. Well the vet determined it was worms and he was treated for them. However, on the car ride to our house today he threw up which is only a ten minute ride. Hes still on his medicine and everything. What should we do?

HE may be prone to car sickness.
some dogs get car sick,,,
My dog drove from FL to MN and never got sick and my friends dog can’t be in a car for more than 5 minutes without getting sick. It all depends on the dog. It might be the medication so once he is off take him for a little ride around the block, that will let you know for sure
He was most likely nervous. I had a dog that would throw up in the car after every vet trip. Any other time, she was fine. New environments/situations can stress out pets just like people. Just watch and make sure that he doesn’t continue to throw up or have any other odd symptoms. If it continues, call your vet. Good luck!
If he vomited up the dewormer you should call your vet and have them dispense to you another dose. It won’t do any good against the worms if it’s not going through his system.
Growing up, we had a dog named Tammy. Tammy threw up every time she rode in the car–when she was a puppy ’til the day the old dear died. Otherwise, she was a very happy dog.
The medication you give an animal is intended to kill other living things–your dog may very well have had a reaction to the meds–or simply have been car sick.
My pup has been dewormed now three times- and everytime she has the medicine in her system she is sick for atleast a day and sometimes throws up. Sometimes the deworming medicine can irritate the dogs stomach- the dog may also get car sick. I would wait to see if the problem persists after he is off of the medicine- if so then you may want to revisit a vet.
