Help! Whats wrong with my kitten?
I bought my rag-doll kitten from Pet-land about two months ago and since then i’ve been noticing these small yellow seed like looking things appearing all over my house. I only find them in places where my cat has been. My cat is an indoor cat so they can’t be from
outside. I’ve also found them in his fur around his tail. There’s alot in the litter box and now they’re everywhere. I’m thinking it could be tapeworms or roundworms? I’m taking him to the vet in 2 days.
Does anyone know what this could be?

Do they look like sesame seeds? Those are tapeworms. They are caused by your kitten swallowing fleas. The vet will treat the worms and you need to keep on top of flea treatments. I personally recommend Frontline but your kitten sounds really young so that may not be an option yet. Speak to his/her vet when you take him
Its some kind of worm – get the kitten to the vet’s and have him treated. Also I’m very sorry you chose to buy anything from Petland – don’t you know those cats/puppies are from puppy-kitten mills and very unhealthy and will cost you are lot in medical expenses in the future?
And your Ragdoll cat probably isn’t purebred to begin with as its "registration" is worthless – anything that is CKC or APRI or other registries is fake. Only CFA or AKC is legit.
CKC – Continental Kennel Club is the fake one
CKC – CANADIAN Kennel Club is legit – its Canada’s equivalant to USA’s AKC registration.
That sounds really unpleasant, and I agree that it’s probably some kind of worm.
I would call your vet and asked to be seen immediately. I had a kitten that died from something similar. It doesn’t take long. I’m not trying to scare you but it could be very serious and you don’t want him to be in pain. Please take the kitten IMMEDIATELY!
Man L,
What you are describing are dried up segments of tapeworm in your kitten. It is not roundworms.
Please bring a fresh stool sample with you when you go to the vet. He will test the sample, and give you medication to get rid of the tapeworms. Your kitten may have been infested with fleas prior to your purchasing him, or if he has not been treated he still may have fleas. Fleas carry tapeworm eggs.

You cannot catch tapeworm from touching these segments either.
The problem with buying pets from a pet store is that most of the kittens come from kitten mills where the breeders do not take adequate care of their stock and are only in it for the money.
There are some very active Ragdoll groups. You might want to hook up with them for support and more information about this remarkable breed.

Good luck with your kitten and hope that he will be totally fine soon.

most lilley they are tape worm segments. Take a couple to the vet. There are many safe wormers….not across the counter
Take him TODAY, not in 2 days.
Keep calling places ’til they can take you TODAY.
