tapeworm pills Archives

ok need your help people?

i got pills from the vet to give to my 2 cats for tapeworm,so here is the problem i gave my one cat the pills no problem!~!!!!! now the other cat i tryed giving him the pill and he ended up biting his tounge so i am unable give it to him and yes i tryed putting it in all kinds of food and guess what he wouldnt eat it, so now what am i to do anyone have any ideas all ideas are wellcome
i tryed the towel around him didnt work to well he is strong and has sharp nails

I just went to my cat’s box to clean it and I found something kind of distressing. My cat’s most recent bowl movement looks like it has a gray to white-ish lint wrapped around it.
What does this mean?
I did recently have to give him a pill for tapeworms, could this be the cause?
He is also prone to furballs. He’ll hack for a long time, but never cough anything thing up. I give him a anti-hairball paste thing that he loves for a treat, weekly. We’re also dealing with a flea infestation right now.
So yes, a lot going on!
However, I just noticed this and wanted to see what others think. He hasn’t shown any differences as far as eating habits or vomitting. He’s still playful and alert. However, he has been acting slightly strange in the way of needing a lot more attention. He’ll meow for reasons I can’t figure out and things like that.
Please, any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated. This cat is my baby!
Thank you.
Thanks for everyone’s answers! I’m going to have to agree with the majority that it’s hair that has passed through his digestive system.

Thanks for the grooming suggestions, I’ll try to find a brush that he might like as he doesn’t really like to be brushed by the few I’ve tried. I’ll keep looking. :-)

thanks.. do you know any antibiotics i can buy for cystitis?
my cat was an indoor cat but since he started peeing out of his litter box, we put him outside, in a cage at night. sometimes we let him in the house. but his condition got worse after staying outside for a while and started urinating blood.. he is only turning 3 this year.. can he die for this? or will he recover?

I just moved to a new area and haven’t taken her to the vet yet. My friend advised me to go to the feed store and get some pills from there called Happy Jack tapeworm Tablets. I had to withhold food from her for 12 hours before giving them to her and then for 4 hours afterward, however she won’t take any pills unless I wrap them in cheese. She threw up about an hour after I gave them to her, but she seems to be better and I haven’t seen anymore worms. (so far anyway). Ever since this happened I have been paranoid about getting worms myself since she sleeps with me. Is this possible? If so how would I get rid of them.

How long does it take……?

My cat had tapeworms so I gave her a pill last night. How long does it take to completely kill all of the worms?
