I’ve found flea pills online called capstar safe for cats as young as 2 weeks heavier than 2 lbs. that are supposed to work within 30 minutes.
Has anyone had any luck with this or any other flea pill, shampoo, or drops safe for kittens? My kitten will be 7 weeks tomorrow. Please don’t tell me to use Dawn.I’ve heard it a thousand times. They just come back the next day because it doesn’t kill or wash the eggs and pupae off.If this stuff works I’d be much happier just pilling him daily(which you can with these) than bathing him daily. He is much too young to be having baths every day as he is very sensitive to the cold.He ends up having to sit on a heating pad with my for about a half hour afterward :/
I would much prefer a pill as my kitten is much easier to pill than he is to bathe or brush with a flea comb! He ate his tapeworm meds right out of my hand lol.
Edit: Actually, Capstar is specifically supposed to be used daily.
I’m not asking how it works, I just want to know IF it worked for those who tried it.
Oh. and to the first poster: I have been vacuuming his bed and the entire house on a daily basis. The problem is not there. The problem is that there are thousands of flea eggs on his coat. They are very visible and will not come out with Dawn, though I have seen the adults die in the bath water.

His symptoms are weight loss although he eats. His third eye lids are half up. I looked on line and tape worm has both symptoms. thanks.
Is Droncit better or Panacur?

My puppy was diagnosed with roundworms (GROSS!!). She was given deworming medicine this afternoon at the vet’s office. How long does it take to run its course and if treatment goes well, how long until she’s rid of the worms?
Side note: We have another dose of medicine to give 2 weeks from today and an appointment in four weeks.
Thanks!

as we all know there are a million different products to protect our pets from heart worm/fleas/ticks/round worm/hook worm/tape worm etc etc.
anyway. what are the best combinations for keeping my pets as healthy as possible?
for example…front line and heartguard.
i want my pets protected from EVERYTHING. mainly fleas, ticks, heart worm and tape worm. what products are best. currently i use revolution…
my 2 dogs and 3 cats are out alot and lay in the grass etc. i just want to be sure they are protected as best as possible.
also, the cats hunt/kill and sometimes eat mice, baby chipmunks, baby squirrels, birds, and small snakes and frogs. is there extra vaccines or meds. they should be getting other than rabies and then flea heart worm meds? i doubt it but ya never know. they all get rabies etc. every year.
sorry if this is confusing!!
tria- my animals have all their vaccines. but rabies is the one that is most important for the type of activities my animals do. they hardly come in contact with any outside animls so bordatella (sp) is not as important etc. but they get all shots annually.
